"Welcome to a world of mystery and evil. A merry-go-round circus of beautiful clowns  and fools."

DECEPTION NEVER DIES...

From the producers of the award winning short “Southern dysComfort” comes “FAKE”, a story inspired by true events outlining a wealthy aristocratic family in the south. Fake takes direct aim at clichés found in the deep South of the United States. Unapologetic and edgy, this feature film was created outside of the mainstream cinema box.

Set amongst a tapestry of fairy tale excess, Michael (Michael Alton Lowder) is reared and mentored by an African American maid, Annie Mae (Lynne Newton). Michael is caught in a triangle of lies and deception by dysfunctional, quirky, upscale family and friends.  Annie Mae is the “mother” that navigates through perplexing hilarious complications.  “FAKE” -- produced by Mad Mad Michael Productions LLC – is a dark comedy about a Southern socialite, his African American nanny and the privileged lifestyle of aristocrats in the South.  In the end Michael will have to distinguish between what is real and what is “FAKE.”

As the story is inspired by true events, it is very dear to Michael’s heart. Taking place in 1962 to present day in South Carolina, FAKE will make people cry, laugh and possibly even cringe. This film dissolves the lines of prejudice against sexual and racial relations; a universal story of unconditional love.
